This modification was very significant for the lady involved. The design is a custom draw job, incorporating elements she wanted present in a permanent design on her chest.

First, on paper...

...then on skin.

No, it's not chaw. I play with my tongue when I work.

The red lines are tattooed; the purple lines are the stencil.

The finished product:

During healing, the lines will turn purple-ish, then fade to a pink, then become white. They may not even be visible to a casual glance; smacking the design will make the lines visible.

I consider it an honor to assist people in their rituals, commemorating their paths. This was no exception.

This isn't my work; it is the work of my tattoo teacher, Mr. Grin of Detroit. People signed the man's back with a pen and each signature was etched with a tattoo machine. Very little of the etching left any permanent mark; the marks that remain are quite faint and only show up after bing impacted. Great idea for a going away party or a poly family commemoration. Truly a way to become a work of art for that Very Special Occasion.
